Speed Scrap Tomorrow

I have been in love with Vero the Sahm's layouts ever since she answered my 1 kit call on Digishoptalk.  So, when I placed my CT call, I was hoping she would be interested!  She was and so she is my very first CT member, woohoo!  Today, she was honored with the layout of the day on the SOTB blog!  She has also created a layout for the template challenge, look how beautiful it is.  She used my Tranquil Evening page kit.  Here is a link to her blog also!

My Pretty New Desktop

Scrapping a layout for your desktop is so fun and it looks so nice!!  I just started doing it in December and now I'm addicted.  It's super easy and brightens up your whole workspace!  You should definitely try it out!  Here's mine, isn't it cute?

BIG News!

I got a job!  Scrap Outside the Box is my new home, my first designer job, woohoo!  I got hired yesterday!!  They are in the process of changing servers so my designs won't be up until the beginning of February, but they will be in a store!  I am so excited, can you tell?  I even made a brand new blinkie for my fans.  Grab it and put it on your blogs or in your siggys if it's allowed at the sites you frequent!!  

Because I am so busy designing, I don't have much time to scrap, so I will probably have a CT call pretty soon.  If you're interested, keep an eye out on here!  I would love to have a fantastic team of creative girls to help me out!

So, we were supposed to get a bunch of snow here in NC and instead we got barely a dusting.  Yet, still my son didn't have preschool!  I'm from PA, so what they think snow is and what I think snow is are two completely different things.  We were excited just to get the inch or two that they were calling for so the boys could play in it.  Oh well.  Instead we stayed warm inside and watched the inauguration, so it wasn't all bad!  My 3 year old learned more about politics today than he has in his whole life, lol!  Now he knows where the white house is, who the president is, and more!  Here is your Take A Template for this week, please join in the challenges!!  Use the template and link your LO back here to receive 10 pieces of pixel dust! Are You Ready Yet?

For Christmas that is. I am, I can't wait for Christmas morning. It is so much fun when you have little ones whose eyes light up because Santa left them presents under the tree!! Each year gets more fun because our oldest, who is 3, understands more and more each year! We have a Christmas countdown that holds mini candy canes and we told him when the candy canes run out that's when Santa would come. He always says, "Santa comes tonight?" and we have to ask him if there are still candy canes and he checks and says "Yes, not tonight yet." When he comes out with silly little words for other words we call them Aidanisms, so the Aidanism for today is icepickle for icicle, lol! I thought that was so cute!

The Joys of Boys

As I said yesterday, we have family in town. One of them is my cousin's 4 year old. So, he and my 3-year old play together really nicely. They were sitting in the play area driving cars around and making car noises. It was really cute! My little one was getting spoiled by his Aunt and, of course, she was loving it. I really think that little boys are the sweetest things! Whoever said they were made of snips, and snails, and puppy dog tails were not talking about mine, lol!

So Tired

It's only 6:30pm and I'm ready for bed, lol! Staying up for Twilight last night is taking it's toll. We got home around 3am and the kids woke us up at 7am, 4 hours is definitely not enough. But, it was worth it. The movie was as good as the previews made it out to be, we really enjoyed it. And we learned our lesson with Harry Potter to not compare book and movie. Although, the Twilight movie really stayed mostly true to the book. They kept some classic lines and it was very similar to the book. Plus, Stephanie Meyer had a cameo! It was very good. Beware of one of the trailers though if you aren't into horror flicks. I hid my eyes and I was still jumping because of my friend next to me who was watching it, lol! It was a fun girls night out, we went out to eat first and to Barnes and Noble and Starbucks. We needed that caffeine boost!

From Now On

I started as a 200 ppi person, dabbled in 300ppi and here is what I think. 200ppi rocks!! My computer works so much faster and I can fit a lot more stuff. I've read a lot about both and everyone I know who has printed in both can not see a difference. So, from now on I am going to design in 200ppi only. You guys want more stuff, right? I need the time and the space to design the things that I do and 200 ppi gives me that! So, I hope you don't mind. If you want to check out lots of posts regarding this go to Digital Scrapbook Place. Their designers work only in 200ppi, which is why I started in 200ppi. So, they have a lot of people who have printed both.

Anyway, here is another template for you! I don't think I ever mentioned, but the template files come in PSD and JPEG files for your convenience! Enjoy!

Election Day!
