Making Room

I'm going through my folders upon folders of stuff on the hard drive and I checked properties and realized, with all this designing, I am running out of space fast!!  Yikes!  So, now within the next month or so, I better get a new external drive or I'll be SOL!  Anyway, here is a lovely little freebie for you today.

Don't Miss It!

Busy, Busy, Busy

That's me for the next week trying to prepare for the launch of my new shop!  If any of you have the Sandra Boynton kids cds, my theme song is the busy song.  "I'm very, very busy cause I have a lot to do and I do not have the time now to explain it all to you. . . BIG News!

I got a job!  Scrap Outside the Box is my new home, my first designer job, woohoo!  I got hired yesterday!!  They are in the process of changing servers so my designs won't be up until the beginning of February, but they will be in a store!  I am so excited, can you tell?  I even made a brand new blinkie for my fans.  Grab it and put it on your blogs or in your siggys if it's allowed at the sites you frequent!!  

Because I am so busy designing, I don't have much time to scrap, so I will probably have a CT call pretty soon.  If you're interested, keep an eye out on here!  I would love to have a fantastic team of creative girls to help me out!

Wii Fun

I am totally exhausted from playing the Wii at my parent's house today!  It's only 8 pm and I could lay down and crash.  We played bowling, tennis, baseball, boxing, and Wii Fit games too.  The boxing is killer!  I was really good at the tightrope walking in Wii Fit, that was funny!  My husband got 1st place in the long jump and hula hooping, lol!  I could not beat him in Tennis for the life of me, I don't know what it is, I only beat him in 1 game.  Oh well, for all fellow Wii players waking up the next day with sore muscles, I understand!

Today I have the Thomas freebie for you!  All of these character kits must only be used for personal use since we don't own the copyrights of the images.  I just want to make that clear, I'm making them for fun!

Wacky Word Art

So now that my computer runs at a decent pace, I have discovered I don't have any time to read anymore.  I always did my reading while waiting for things to save in photoshop, lol!  I guess now that I can get my work done quicker, I just get to play afterwards!

Today I have a word art challenge for you.  All you have to do is design a layout with the wordart, post it in your favorite gallery, and leave a link on this blog.  Do that to earn some pixel dust, 10 pieces to be exact!

Take A Template

So, we were supposed to get a bunch of snow here in NC and instead we got barely a dusting.  Yet, still my son didn't have preschool!  I'm from PA, so what they think snow is and what I think snow is are two completely different things.  We were excited just to get the inch or two that they were calling for so the boys could play in it.  Oh well.  Instead we stayed warm inside and watched the inauguration, so it wasn't all bad!  My 3 year old learned more about politics today than he has in his whole life, lol!  Now he knows where the white house is, who the president is, and more!  Here is your Take A Template for this week, please join in the challenges!!  Use the template and link your LO back here to receive 10 pieces of pixel dust! A Request

One of my lovely blog readers requested a Nemo kit the other day and I thought that was a great idea, so here it is.  If any of you have other characters that you would like, let me know and I'll see what I can do!

I put my new memory in and the computer is going faster, but I think I'm going to add another GB in the other slot.  Right, now I went from 512mb to 1.25 GB, yay!  It is a lot better!

A Fun Freebie

Part of the new year at DSP is a thing called Scrapolution!  It is really fun and it helps you set and keep your scrapping goals throughout the year.  The one I was working on for this week was to get all birthday pictures that you haven't scrapped done.  So, I had 3 different birthday's to scrap.  Aidan's 2 and 3 year old parties and Zachary's 1 year old one.  I finally got them all done today, it is a relief.  I hate doing birthday pages because I take so many pictures that they are always crowded.  But, anyway, Aidan's 2nd birthday was a Diego theme and I didn't have anything to go with it.  So, I made a kit to use and that is your freebie for today.  So, all of you who have Diego fans in the family, grab it!

No Designing Today

I took a much needed day off, I've been going nonstop since I started back up after the holidays and I'm exhausted!!  I just wanted to play and actually do some scrapping!  I wanted to remind you all that you have until tomorrow to finish this week's challenges.  Use the template or the wordart and get 10 pieces of pixel dust.  Go get my kit, Retro New Year, and use that to receive 25 pieces!!  Good luck!

A Productive Day

It is 9:20pm and this is the first time I've been on the internet all day, that is a record for me!  I was so busy designing today and I was on a roll!  No mind blocks today, I just kept getting ideas.  I love those days!  I have a freebie for you today, it's a sampler to a kit that will probably be in the store tomorrow.  It's a boy kit and very cute!

Exciting News

I was offered a spot on the Elements Team at DigiByDesign!!!!  This is one step below designer!!  They mentor me and help me get my products up to par and then they usually offer a position, woohoo!!  I can't believe it!  I was so thrilled to get this, especially because they already gave me some very helpful info!  So, with this comes one big change.  I will be designing from now on in 300ppi.  I know that this is great for most of you.  My computer chugs along really slowly, but I will deal with it.  Now my stuff will match everything else you own.   Off Broadway will be the last 200ppi kit.  I am already starting on my first kit for them.  I also have a new kit in my Etsy shop, the preview is below.  I made a sampler that matches it for your freebie today!

Happy New Year!

I can't remember if I actually said Happy New Year to all of you, so it's a little belated, but hey, Happy New Year!!  Did you make your resolutions yet?  I hate resolutions because I never follow them, but I am trying to lose weight because we are going to Disney in December, yay!!  I told my husband I don't want to be fat in the pictures, lol!  

I had a day to myself today and it was so fun!  I spontaneously decided to get my hair cut, I probably got about 7 inches cut off.  I LOVE it!!  I needed a change from ponytails and it is still super easy!  Then I had to return some stuff at Kohl's and bought some new clothes.  They were having awesome sales and I got a shirt for $2!!  And a new pair of jeans, you can always use jeans!

So, I have the wordart ready for you today.  If you use it in a layout and post here, you will receive 10 pieces of pixel dust!!  Whose going to be my first on the pixel dust board?

Pining for Pixels

Imagine a pixie dancing through a beautiful, enchanted forest leaving a trail of pixie dust in her wake.  Now imagine that this pixie grants digiscrappers wishes!!  What do digiscrappers want most of all?  Freebies, of course!!

Today I am introducing you to our very own Pixel Pixie.  She will be your guide through the Purely Pixels challenges!!  Whenever you see her, you will know that you can earn some of her pixel dust!  Build up your pixel dust throughout each month to earn free stuff!

Without further ado, I introduce you to the one, the only, Purely Pixels Pixel Pixie(courtesy of JLStock)!!

The goal each month is to reach 100 pieces of pixel dust.  If you do that, you will get to choose a free kit from my store, woohoo!

I have set up an Etsy shop with my digital designs, yay!  The challenge each week will be to buy the featured kit, design a layout with that kit, post it in a gallery (DSP is my fave), and leave a link on this blog.  If you do that, I will have special posting bonuses just for you!   The really fun part is you get to help build the posting bonuses!  Just leave me a comment letting me know what you want to see in the bonus kit!!

So you see, if you just do this challenge, you will earn your 100 pieces of pixel dust!!

I love trivia and to feed that addiction, I may do some random trivia questions throughout each month!  If you answer correctly, you get 1 piece of pixel dust!

TIP AND TRICKS

* You don't have to do each challenge individually.  You can combine all 3 in one layout and still earn the pixel dust for each challenge.  So you would end up with 45 pieces of pixel dust for just one layout!

*To reach 100 pieces of pixel dust, you must do at least 1 Pining for Pixels Challenge.
