Just Got Back

I was in Florida for vacation last week and we had a blast!!  We went to Seaworld and the rest of the time was pool time and relaxation.  Of course, now I'm behind again in designing, but I'll catch up eventually!  

While I was on vacation I got great news!  I applied for a position in a Physical Therapist Assistant program at a local college here.  It is very hard to get into because they only choose 30 each year and I got in, woohoo!!  I really feel it is meant to be because I have already found the perfect little in home daycare for Zachary and Aidan and they can still go to preschool!  I'm so excited but a little nervous.  I have to take Anatomy and Physiology this summer starting May 18th online.  Both courses squeezed into two months after being out of school 6 years, yikes!!  I hope I find my student mentality quickly.

Now, this weekend is National Scrapbooking Day and you don't want to miss out on all of the great sales going on.  My entire store is going to be on sale for 40% off.  I'm not planning on having another big sale like this for awhile, so go shopping now!  

I am starting an "Inspired By Disney" line of products.  We are going to Disney in December and I want enough kits for my album when we get back, so I'm starting now.  Ready for this weekend will be Around The World, inspired by It's A Small World and Rogue Robot, inspired by Wall-E, each only $1.50!

Speed Scrap Tomorrow

What A Week!!

Try Out Some Glitter

I have recently learned how to make really good digital glitter.  I'm so excited because I love glitter and now it won't be all over my house!  I started making glitter that coordinates with my kits because then you can use it for your title or any other embellishments that you add to the page.  It's a fun way to add some sparkle!  The glitter can be purchased seperately or it's free when you purchase the kit that it matches.  I thought you might like to try a style so that you can see how it looks.  In your download, I include .asl files for PS and also .png files for those who have programs that don't use styles.  If you have any questions please ask!

I Have A New Computer

YAY!!!  I have a new laptop and it is so fantastic.  Sorry for the delay in blogging, but I got out of my groove with the computer transition.  I'm trying to focus again and get things done!  Since my computer is super fast like a rocket, lol!  

SOTB is going to be down from the 28th through the 2nd for a server switch, so I am going to have a bunch of new kits going up on the new server after the 2nd.  I've got a baby one done so far and I have a boy one half done and a spring one also half done!  Some new glitter styles too, woohoo!  I love glitter!!

Since the site is going to be down, we will be doing Speed Scrap via email!  If you haven't been introduced to speed scrapping yet, this will be an easy way to try it out.  You will receive all of the instructions in your email on Tuesday at 8pm EST (that's our usual speed scrap time) and then you have 2 hours to complete your layout and upload to the gallery.  The gallery is supposed to still work during the server move, but if it doesn't you can email me the layout.  

If you would like to join in on the email SS, send me your email to purelypixels82@gmail.com!  I hope you will all try it out!

Daily Download At SOTB

Country Primitive

I found this color palette that I completely loved, but it has taken me weeks to figure out what to do with it.  It was my first designer block.  But, finally, it took on a country primitive theme that has turned out so cute!  I am very glad to be done with it so I can move on, lol!  I really love the direction it took though.  Today I have a quick page for you so you can sample this lovely little kit!  Don't forget about the template challenge, you have until Thursday.  Also, my next speed scrap is this Tuesday night at 8pm!  Don't miss it, we had so much fun last week!

Successful Speed Crop!

McKenna's Charity Kit Is Ready To Go

Sweet little McKenna needs all of your help!  Come to our charity chat on Sunday night at 10pm EST for the launch of McKenna's kit "A Mother's Love."  

A Mother’s Love was created by the thoughtful and generous designers of Scrap Outside the Box to help the family of McKenna Elise Conrad. McKenna was born January 12, 2008 with a cleft lip and cleft palate, which occurs in one in every 500 births. Now one-year-old, McKenna has already undergone numerous procedures to repair her cleft lip, resulting in $5,000 in medical bills. She is scheduled to undergo palate surgery on March 6 and that amount will more than double. Sadly this is all after health insurance has been paid. Her family is in dire need of financial assistance and you can help.  McKenna is very near and dear to our hearts, because she is the niece of Scrap Outside the Box owner, Dani Fenning. It seems only natural that we reach out to her family in the best way that we can, by creating a sharing a fabulous charity kit and donating the proceeds to this needy family. A Mother’s Love is the perfect title for this warm, colorful collaboration full of flowers, butterflies and rainbows. What better way to show that you care while getting a beautiful kit in return.  All proceeds from the sales of A Mother’s Love will go directly towards the family's medical expenses. LOTD Starting At SOTB
