Just Got Back

I was in Florida for vacation last week and we had a blast!!  We went to Seaworld and the rest of the time was pool time and relaxation.  Of course, now I'm behind again in designing, but I'll catch up eventually!

While I was on vacation I got great news!  I applied for a position in a Physical Therapist Assistant program at a local college here.  It is very hard to get into because they only choose 30 each year and I got in, woohoo!!  I really feel it is meant to be because I have already found the perfect little in home daycare for Zachary and Aidan and they can still go to preschool!  I'm so excited but a little nervous.  I have to take Anatomy and Physiology this summer starting May 18th online.  Both courses squeezed into two months after being out of school 6 years, yikes!!  I hope I find my student mentality quickly.

Now, this weekend is National Scrapbooking Day and you don't want to miss out on all of the great sales going on.  My entire store is going to be on sale for 40% off.  I'm not planning on having another big sale like this for awhile, so go shopping now!

I am starting an "Inspired By Disney" line of products.  We are going to Disney in December and I want enough kits for my album when we get back, so I'm starting now.  Ready for this weekend will be Around The World, inspired by It's A Small World and Rogue Robot, inspired by Wall-E, each only $1.50!

I also have a new Birthday kit, Birthday Sweets, and matching glitter in my store!

And here is a layout I made with Birthday Sweets!

Country Primitive

I found this color palette that I completely loved, but it has taken me weeks to figure out what to do with it.  It was my first designer block.  But, finally, it took on a country primitive theme that has turned out so cute!  I am very glad to be done with it so I can move on, lol!  I really love the direction it took though.  Today I have a quick page for you so you can sample this lovely little kit!  Don't forget about the template challenge, you have until Thursday.  Also, my next speed scrap is this Tuesday night at 8pm!  Don't miss it, we had so much fun last week!

McKenna's Charity Kit Is Ready To Go

Sweet little McKenna needs all of your help!  Come to our charity chat on Sunday night at 10pm EST for the launch of McKenna's kit "A Mother's Love."

A Mother’s Love was created by the thoughtful and generous designers of Scrap Outside the Box to help the family of McKenna Elise Conrad. McKenna was born January 12, 2008 with a cleft lip and cleft palate, which occurs in one in every 500 births. Now one-year-old, McKenna has already undergone numerous procedures to repair her cleft lip, resulting in $5,000 in medical bills. She is scheduled to undergo palate surgery on March 6 and that amount will more than double. Sadly this is all after health insurance has been paid. Her family is in dire need of financial assistance and you can help.  McKenna is very near and dear to our hearts, because she is the niece of Scrap Outside the Box owner, Dani Fenning. It seems only natural that we reach out to her family in the best way that we can, by creating a sharing a fabulous charity kit and donating the proceeds to this needy family. A Mother’s Love is the perfect title for this warm, colorful collaboration full of flowers, butterflies and rainbows. What better way to show that you care while getting a beautiful kit in return.  All proceeds from the sales of A Mother’s Love will go directly towards the family's medical expenses. Your help and support are greatly appreciated.  To read more please go here:

My New Store!

Ok, I had a quick mention of my store yesterday, but didn't have time to go in depth because I was at my sister-in-law's for the weekend!  A wonderful kid-free weekend!!!  But, now it's back to work and I have to tell you all about what's happening.  My store officially opened yesterday, it was very exciting!  Right now, I only have a few things for sale because I'm just starting.  More will be added pretty often, I'm working my little designer butt off, lol!  Here are some previews of the kits for sale right now:

This first one is called Inspire Me, you can find it by clicking here!

These two beautiful layouts were created with my Inspire Me kit by Vero The Sahm and you can find her blog by clicking here!

The other kit in the store right now is called Tranquil Evening.  You can find it by clicking here!

I put this layout together with this kit and a picture of my youngest.  Of course, this layout doesn't even scratch the surface of what is available in this kit, but it gives you an idea!

I made a Quick Page for you out of my layout for your freebie today!  Enjoy and go check out my new store!!

A Lazy Day

I just got my shower, yikes!! We were just playing with the boys all morning. All our christmas stuff is done and we didn't have anywhere to go, so we just hung out! It was fun! They are napping now, so I get to play on the computer! Hope the rest of your weekend is fantastic!

This is the layout I made with the kit from the contest. Since I don't scrap heritage, this picture was my inspiration for the whole kit. This is one of my favorite pictures of my grandparents, so I loved making a page with it. I thought it turned out so pretty, so I made it into a quick page for you!

Pretty Quick Page

This round of the designer contest has 3 parts. The first part was to make a layout using our kit from the last round, which was my Blue Jay Road kit. So I got that done and figured I would make it into a Quick Page for you all! I'm going to try to keep posting the next few days, but we do have family coming into town for Thanksgiving. So, if you don't see me until Saturday, you'll know why. Let me wish everyone a very Happy (early) Thanksgiving in case I don't post before then. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
